Over 42,000 Registered Voters Not Able to Vote in Georgia Fraud

The Blame for Registered Citizens Unable to Vote is on Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp.

To begin, we simply conducted a search for “Georgia voter registration” looking for the most up to date stories on this situation. From the search results options, we decided to use Fox News and The Daily Beast articles. The titles of each article varied. Fox News article was called “Voter registration fraud probe looms over tight Georgia Senate race” and the other source Daily Beast titled their article “50,000 Missing Georgia Voter-Registration Applications? Nothing to See Here.”

The Daily Beast surprised us with having a humorous title on such an upsetting subject. However once we started to read their article it was definitely filled with true substance that we'd been hearing on the radio and through other news sources.

They stated “a county judge sided with Brian Kemp and rejected a request by the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights, the NAACP, and the New Georgia Project to intervene in this dispute…”

Continuing on they quoted Julie Houk, senior counsel for the Voting Rights Project saying “This decision guarantees that there are going to be a significant number of people who will be disenfranchised and not placed on the voter-registration rolls even though they are eligible to vote. What good is early voting if people’s name aren’t even on the roll to vote?” This tells us that the Republicans are doing illegal tactics to stop citizens from voting and likewise they have judges on their side because they won't allow the lawyers to further research this case.

On the other hand, Fox News decided to flip the story and make it seem like this voting fraud is coming from the Democratic party. Implying that a non profit organization called the ‘New Georgia Project’ are the people behind this scandal.

Using Hype I guess, the court allowed this case to be further researched. Fox News said “At an 'emergency' hearing of the state Election Board this week, Brian Kemp's investigator Chris Harvey laid out the elements of the case. Harvey said he confirmed 28 cases of fraud in 14 counties -- 25 fraudulent voter registration applications and three fraudulent canvassing sheets. Some had forged signatures; others, false information. Another 26 cases were labeled suspicious.”

Come on now, this organization is doing Nothing illegal. Only striving to give citizens and easier opportunity to register and vote. The New Georgia Project organization had a goal to register 100,000 people before the Oct.6th deadline. They have nearly completed that goal before this unjustice circumstances of over 40,000 people Not being put on the roll to vote. Which is a True “Emergency.”

Giving this information we believe both articles will assess you. The ‘Daily Beast’ article will show you the truth of this serious scandal at stake. On the other hand, Fox News article will help people understand that this is No accident. The Republicans are doing these acts on purpose and using media (Fox) to try and flip the story on a non serious conflict of no more than 100 “fraudulent” registrations that could or could Not be true.
